Dancehall Again -Riddim Dictionary-は、JamaicaのReggae、Dancehallの重要な要素のひとつである「Riddim」のアーカイブです。それぞれのRiddimの楽曲名、アーティスト、レーベル・プロダクション、プロデューサーをリストにしています。
このデータベースの元となっているのは、Pupa Vlado氏によって収集されたwww.reggae-riddims.comの情報です。Pupa Vlado氏がサイトの更新をストップした後もLee Scratch Perry氏やRobert Camphouse氏によってデータは維持・拡充され、現在のReggae、Dancehallのファンや多くのDJ、Selectorにとって重要なデータとなっています。Dancehall AgainではGit Hubに公開されたそららのデータを元に、2010年代以降の新しい楽曲についても情報を追加し、2020年代における最新のデータベースを目指します。
Dancehall Again – Riddim Dictionary- is an archive of one of the key elements of Jamaica’s Reggae and Dancehall. It lists each Riddim’s song title, artist, label/production and producer.
The original database was collected by Pupa Vlado at www.reggae-riddims.com, which was continued by Lee Scratch Perry and Robert Camphouse after Pupa Vlado stopped updating the site. The data has been maintained and expanded, and is important to current Reggae and Dancehall fans, as well as many DJs and Selector, and Dancehall Again will use the data from Sora and others published on Git Hub to provide information on new music from the 2010s onwards. We aim to add to this database and make it the most up-to-date database in the 2020s.
